Hi, I'm Shawn. Some of you know me; most of you don't. I want to keep this as simple as possible because I know your time is precious. Basically, it comes down to this: my sister (Abby), her daughter (Maggie), and her family (Ryan, Savannah, Sadie and Jack) are in need of some real help. I'm sure all of you know a family like the Grahams. A family so sweet and generous that they make you contemplate the way you live your own life.
The Grahams had just taken the big step into home ownership. With three kiddos and a baby on the way, it was a very exciting time for them. However, before the dust had even settled in their new home, my sister (Abby) gave birth to a beautiful, fragile little girl (Maggie Elizabeth) seven weeks early.
Now the good news: Maggie Elizabeth Graham in going to be fine.
Now the bad news: a lengthy stay in the NICU, various tests, and medications, coupled with the unforeseen costs of a new home, has made my sister and her family's financial situation tough to say the least.
The truth is, this family is going to be just fine. They will find a way to make this whole experience into something positive. But... I would like to give them a little help. They would kill me and probably never be my friend again if they knew that I was doing this, but I have set up a charitable account in Maggie's name. I, the author (Shawn) am asking you (tugging at heart-strings) the reader (friend, acquaintance, stranger, family, and/or all-around-good-person) to donate anything that you can to this fund:
Maggie Graham Elizabeth Charitable Fund
America First Credit Union
1-800-999-3961
ACCT# 9059502
I can assure you that your thoughtful donations will not go unnoticed. If I could, I would give each of you who donate a high-five and/or a hug.
Thanks in advance,
Shawn Hancock
